Responsibilities of this role

  • Coordinate, review, analyze, develop and communicate all strategies, plans, and policies affecting the NG/NGB

  • Develop, promulgate and implement NGB strategy, planning guidance, and policy related to current and future plans.

  • Review Joint Strategic Planning System documents.

  • assist in the developing, promulgating and implementation of policy, strategy, concepts and plans related to war fighting, peacetime international activities and the federal and state homeland security and civil support missions of the National Guard/National Guard Bureau

  • Conduct analysis and recommend draft comments, inputs, and way forward.

  • Support development of National Guard Strategic Planning System. Draft information papers, executive summaries, and briefs for senior leaders.

  • Research and developing analysis of or inputs to joint strategy or policy through info papers, reports, briefings;

  • Provide CNGB with transformational and strategic initiative plans and support

  • Prepare NG joint strategies, plans, documents, and studies.

  • Initiate and maintain intergovernmental/interagency coordination.

  • Advocate and provide coordination for NGB interface for all new concepts and transformational policy.

  • Provide administrative and operations support to all elements within J-5.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum of 10 years in DoD/Govemment Contracting (1102 series)

  • 5+ years of experience working with DoD contracts at the Systems level (DoD 5000 series)

  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWlA) level Il certification or equivalent

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
