Responsibilities of this role

The contractor shall serve as an embedded help desk technician to implement and maintain all information technology and provide customer support

The contractor shall install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

The contractor shall refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.

The contractor shall troubleshoot and resolve user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware problems.

The contractor shall upgrade existing equipment, performing tasks such as installing updated circuit boards or additional memory.

The contractor shall set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and appropriate software.

The contractor shall image computers in accordance with the Network Enterprise Center’s policies.

The contractor shall update and maintain software and hardware inventories.

The contractor shall align, adjust, or calibrate equipment.

The contractor shall maintain printers to include parts and consumables, for example toner, transfer kits, rollers, and toner collection units, etc.

The contractor shall patch and remedy any computer that has an Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) within the given timeline from the Network Enterprise Center; on both NIPR and SIPR.

The contractor shall adhere to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines for responding and resolving work tickets.

The contractor shall use enterprise work ticket system(s) to record work tasks.

The contractor shall maintain and follow all approved Standard Operating Processes (SOP).

The contractor shall escalate and monitor tickets or issues through the Government Lead and/or through the Network Enterprise Center as required.

The contractor shall successfully complete all training related to the assigned position (e.g., driver’s training course, etc.).

The contractor shall attend the Network Enterprise Center Elevated Privileges training.

The contractor shall ensure all hardware and software are prepared, available, and functional to meet the Army and DoD compliance and lifecycle requirements.

The contractor shall leverage and comply with the ITIL framework to provide customer support.
Qualifications and Skills:

Standard Requirement: The contractor shall have two (2) years of relevant experience.

The contractor shall meet the DOD 8570.01-Manual appendix 3 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II approved baseline certifications; for example, CompTIA Security+.

The contractor shall have or be able to achieve the ITIL Foundation certification within 6 months.

The contractor shall possess a valid state Driver’s license
